2026 Brett Wood-Taylor’s Santa Shiai

Online registration is now open for the 2026 Brett Wood-Taylor’s Santa Shiai! Welcome Mat Judo Club of Fond du Lac invites you to join us for a day of judo and holiday spirit on Saturday, December 5, 2026.

Registration closes Thursday, December 3, at 11:59 p.m. CST. No day-of or walk-up registrations will be accepted.

Free parking is available adjacent to the school; enter from 9th Street. Spectator admission is free, and concessions will be available.

Registration and fees

Early registration deadline: Sunday, November 29, at 11:59 p.m. CST
Final registration deadline: Thursday, December 3, at 11:59 p.m. CST
First shiai division: $60 per competitor
Each additional shiai division: $30 per competitor

All registrations must be completed online. Please review the event page for division options and entry limits.

Tournament day schedule — Saturday, December 5

8:15–9:30 a.m.: All junior competitors check in
9:00–10:00 a.m.: Referee and technical officials meeting
10:00 a.m.: Opening ceremony, welcome, announcements, and Judo Santa
10:30 a.m.: Tournament begins
Noon–12:30 p.m.: Adult late check-in

Weigh-ins and check-in

All competitors must check in at the tournament.

Remote weigh-ins are permitted at USA Judo clubs in good standing on Wednesday, December 2, or Thursday, December 3. Instructors or coaches must report weights in pounds to Nat Ciesla at nat.ciesla@gmail.com by Thursday, December 3, at 11:59 p.m. CST.

Weights will be verified at tournament check-in, with a ±2.2-pound allowance.

Eligibility and uniforms

All competitors must present a current USA Judo membership card at weight confirmation and check-in. USJF and USJA memberships are not accepted.

Competitors without a current USA Judo membership must purchase an Event-Only membership.

Competitors must bring their own blue and white belts. Anyone bringing a blue gi must also bring a white gi; blue gis may not be worn on the white side.
